December is often described as the season of giving, and in Saskatoon, this spirit is felt in every corner of our community. At Allerdyce & Co., we deeply believe in supporting our neighbours, especially during a time of year that can be difficult for many families. As a local business, we are proud to spotlight meaningful initiatives happening right here in our city that bring warmth, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

This month, WREN and Grace Westminster Church are hosting A Meal for Every Neighbour on December 20th. This event offers a warm holiday meal and a Take What You Need table for Saskatoon’s unhoused community, ensuring our neighbours feel welcomed, supported, and cared for during the winter season. To make this possible, WREN is collecting both monetary donations and essential items. Financial contributions can be e-transferred to Leslie@wreninspiredlife.com, and cash donations are accepted at the WREN till. Community members are also encouraged to drop off warm clothing, small household items, toys, and non-perishable food at the WREN store.

Giving back extends beyond a single event. Reroute’s Christmas Hamper Program provides groceries and gifts for families who may otherwise go without during the holidays. Demand is already high this year, with many families reaching out for support. Last year, Reroute helped ten families, and they hope to help even more this season. If each follower donated just two dollars, they would raise more than seven thousand dollars. Anyone wishing to support can e-transfer donations to hello@reroutesk.ca.
